Description

This is big snowflake of fernlike dendrite type, around 6 or 7 millimeters from tip to tip. I like it's complex, ornate shape and small details, like that icy "petals" or "leaves".

This crystal was captured January 2013 on horizontal glass plate with LED back lighting, as quick series of 8 identical RAW shots. All source photos was averaged to raise signal-to-noise ratio of this picture; then i start my usual processing workflow.
