This is big snowflake of fernlike dendrite type, around 6 or 7 millimeters from tip to tip. I like it's shape and light on numerous icy "petals". Version with isolated snow crystal on pure black background.
This crystal was captured January 2013 on large sheet of glass with LED back light, as quick series of 8 identical RAW photos. All serial pictures was averaged to boost signal-to-noise ratio of this picture, then i start my usual processing workflow.
