Surface of strawberry at high magnification looks quite weird. I never thought that strawberry fruits are hairy, and their seeds have sprouts. My problem when taking this picture was simple: strawberry is too glossy. I used white plastic bag around berry to diffuse daylight, and this makes reflects acceptable. However, we clearly see cell structure at surface only with reflects.
For taking source photos for this image, i used my trusty "snowflake" macro setup, and combined averaging and focus stacking techniques: 10 groups of shots with different focus was captured; each group contains 8 identical shots for averaging (80 source RAW photos total was used).
