Medium size snowflake, ~3 millimeters from tip to tip. This crystal was captured on glass surface with LED back light, using additional lens Helios 44, December 2014, Moscow. 12 identical RAWs photos, taken as fast series, averaged for better signal-to-noise ratio of this image.
I like large, broad and clean arms of this crystal, resembling duck feet or gecko's paw: they attract my attention instantly, when i saw this snowflake on glass. This crystal looks unusual and interesting even for naked eye.
December 26, 2014, was wonderful day for snowflake photography in Moscow: my archive from just one day contains several hundreds of source RAW + JPEG photos, and took 8 gigabytes of disk space. I've already processed two more snowflakes: Gardener's dream and Winter technologies (you can see them in galleries "All snowflakes" and "Bright snowflakes"), and have lots of other interesting specimens to work with!
