Large snowflake of fernlike dendrite type with complex structure, elegant arms and glossy, 3D surface, glittering on smooth blue / gray gradient background in cold light.
Snowflake was captured on glass with multi-color lighting from angle: this scheme creates smooth color gradient on background and colorful facets of the crystal, making it look glossy and transparent, revealing inner structure and 3D details on surface. Macro setup: Canon Powershot A650is and extra lens Helios 44, mounted reversely in front of built-in camera optics.
